Yakuza Kiwami 3: How to Increase Daddy Rank?

For those who are trying to play ‘Yakuza Kiwami 3,‘ they will have a whole new challenge to face as the game introduces the Daddy Rank. This new mechanism has nothing to do with street fights or the usual Tojo Clan Drama. Instead, this tracks Kiryu’s growth as the Morning Glory Orphanage’s caretaker.

Not only does it give new content to unlock, but it also rewards players with some of the game’s most rewarding content. It unlocks the moment Kiryu settles in his new life in Okinawa. From that point, it is all about increasing the Daddy Rank as he gets closer to the eight kids under his care and becomes the greatest dad.

Several activities at the orphanage contribute to your Daddy Rank, and stacking them consistently is the fastest way to climb. Helping the kids with Homework quizzes is one of the most efficient methods available early on. A perfect score on a Homework quiz earns 60 points, passing gets you 50, and even failing still rewards 30.

You can repeat quizzes for additional points, making this a reliable grind option from the moment it unlocks. Cooking is another major pillar. As your rank increases, you unlock new recipes and can prepare dishes that the kids request.

Talk to Haruka in the Morning Glory kitchen to attempt each meal once you’ve gathered the right ingredients. Fishing, farming, bug catching, and sewing all feed into the system as well. Selling the items you produce at the Morning Glory Market earns Funds, which raise your Store Rank and open up more orphanage upgrades over time.

Making The Most Of The Orphanage

The Bulletin Board is worth checking constantly. Completing Requests from neighbors rewards ingredients, money, and additional Daddy Rank progress. It also deepens your relationships with the local community around the orphanage.

At each Daddy Rank milestone, the kids will present a Cooking Request. Gather the necessary ingredients and successfully prepare the dish to graduate to the next level and unlock even more activities.

Buying a cow and a second chicken early from the Neighborhood Shop is a smart move. They provide a steady supply of eggs and milk for cooking recipes, as long as you keep them fed with animal feed from Loveboxes or the Request Board shop.

Cooking every recipe at least once is also recommended for the bonus it provides. You can give meals to the kids to strengthen your bond with them individually or save them as combat items for tougher fights out in the field.

Milestone Rewards And Why They Matter

Reaching higher ranks unlocks unique substories involving each of the eight Morning Glory kids. Not only that, but you also get to claim five trophies that are directly tied to your orphanage activities. So if you plan on chasing that platinum, there’s no option but to max your Daddy Rank.

However, it is not a meaningless grind, as a higher ranking means more pocket money from Haruka while also getting additional Training Points. These could be used to upgrade your combat abilities. Not just that, it is also a way to claim some early cash, with Daddy Rank 3 and above netting upwards of 80K Yen.

The system caps out at Daddy Rank 6, titled Legendary Dad. Getting there requires a balanced approach across all activities, but focusing on homework, cooking, and farming is the most efficient path to the top.
