VCT Americas 2026: Which Team Should Sign Demon1?

Ever since the 2023 Valorant Champions win, Demon1’s pro career has been in limbo. Despite being the most gifted player of the game, he has been failing to make a permanent spot in any of the orgs. From playing for American orgs to even playing for a Chinese org, the OG Valorant villain showed great shades throughout the rounds.

Recently, Demon1 subbed in for Cloud9 for 2 games while their duelist player, Oxy, was out due to a family emergency, and showed what a monster he actually is. So ever since, fans, analysts, streamers, everyone has been urging to sign this man to see more of what he packs.

Sentinal Might Need A “Demon” To Save Them

If players look closely at every team, each is packed with players operating decently with proper synergy, and there is very little space to change. However, that can’t be said for the sentinels. After the 2025 season, Zekken left the org to join MIBR, and Zellsis was let go of the contract along with Bang. They brought in Cortezia as the new IGL and Kyu, while keeping both N4rrate and Jonhqt.

But the results ain’t favouring them. They have lost 2 out of their 3 matches in VCT Americas Kickoff 2026, even one against 100 Thieves, to whom they had lost last in the 2022 LCQs.

For the past 2 seasons, the team was operating around the cracked duelist Zekken, and none of the teammate is yet filled his spot properly. That’s where Demon1 can be helpful to the org. It will not only bring in a technically sound player, but also boost the overall star power of the org, which is pretty low after the exit of TenZ. He will bring the missing “it” factor and explosiveness to the team, which it’s in dire need.

Currently, Sentinels are in the lower bracket of VCT Americas Kickoff 2026, and their chances to qualify for Valorant Masters Santiago are very low unless they make a miracle run.

Former Champions LOUD Can Use A Helping Hand

LOUD was once seen as the most dominant team in the Americas circuit and has decimated teams like OpTic Gaming at their prime. After the exit of Aspas and later other core members, the time is now just a shell of itself. They had a poor 2025 season and didn’t start great in 2026 either.

LOUD lost straight 3 of their matches and have now been eliminated from VCT Americas Kickoff. 3 out of 2 losses were straight-up clean sweeps, which made them look more abysmal. LOUD brought back their former Champs winning member, pANcada, but things are still not looking well.

It is expected that they will shake up their whole roster, and fans will see some of the players getting benched. Thus, LOUD can surely go for Demon1 to add some striking power. Similar to Sentinels, they are lacking an aggressive mechanical player who can take hard duels and keep the scoreboard running. However, the issue with this signing would be that Demon1 may find himself again in a team where he doesn’t speak the language.

Nonetheless, the stocks for Demon1 are at an all-time high this time after his incredible showing against ENVY and Leviatan. So, many teams looking for early course correction in the 2026 season can throw big to sign the former Champion.
