Rockstar Games is reportedly gearing up to open pre-orders for the highly anticipated ‘Grand Theft Auto 6.‘ Its is undoubtedly the most anticipated game of this decade. Players have been craving for any detail, either major or minor, for the game.

However, this had led to people leaking info about the game, which was one of the reasons it had been delayed multiple times. Due to this, the studio has been in complete radio silence for the project to prevent any leaks. Despite all this, it has been officially confirmed numerous times that the release is on track.

The reports for pre-orders came after a user, PlayStationSize, posted on X that unique title IDs for ‘GTA 6‘ have been added to the official PlayStation database. Internal codes of this nature typically appear when a publisher is preparing to go live with a store page, testing regional pricing, or setting up the backend for pre-order transactions.

While it is hard to say when this will go live, these IDs finally being in the PlayStation database strongly indicate that the marketing campaign will soon kick off.

One of the major speculations amongst the community is the price of the title. A former Technical Director at Rockstar North recently suggested that the sheer scale of the project could make the studio slap a price tag of $80 and $100 for the standard edition, setting a new ceiling for AAA titles.

Furthermore, Insiders have also suggested that Rockstar is planning to offer three editions of the game: Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Premium Collector’s Edition.

The reports earlier suggested that Rockstar Games is completely overhauling the mission structure. The studio will be moving away from the repetitive nature of the missions in ‘GTA 5,’ keeping missions unique to keep the experience fresh. This is actually possible, given that the map is set to be almost 5 to 6 times larger than the previous instalment.

Additionally, the game will feature new combat mechanics, shifting toward a realistic approach. It includes a new bleeding system that will realistically simulate critical damage, causing a player’s health to slowly drain over time. This will force a more tactical approach during missions and hiests. So, the days of “snacking-shooting” will be gone.
