It looks like Westeros is finally heading to ‘Fortnite.’ According to some recent leaks, Epic Games is reportedly working on a massive crossover with HBO’s beloved TV series, ‘Game of Thrones.’ It will be the first time the series makes its way onto the Battle Royale island.
The show ended more than half a decade ago, leaving a sour taste for fans, but the brand remains a powerhouse. If the rumours are true, fans might soon see Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in the game’s ever-expanding multiverse.
‘Game Of Thrones’ Is Reportedly Coming To ‘Fortnite’

Prominent ‘Fortnite‘ dataminers HYPEX and AdiraFNInfo recently posted on X that a ‘Game of Thrones‘ collaboration is currently in work. While there isn’t a confirmed release date yet, fans are speculating that it may come out in June 2026, around the premiere of ‘House of the Dragon‘ Season 3.
As of now, Epic Games hasn’t confirmed anything. But the community is already discussing what the Item Shop will look like. For starters, many are speculating Jon Snow’s skin with a Longclaw pickaxe, Daenerys Targaryen with a dragon-themed glider, and even Ned Stark’s skin. Given ‘Fortnite‘s history of adding mythic items for major crossovers, fans can even expect dragons appearing on the map as rideable mounts.

Despite being one of the biggest pop culture phenomena of the last two decades, ‘Game of Thrones‘ has a bad experience with video game adaptations. Telltale series faced mixed reviews, and the 2021 RPG was called out for its clunky mechanics. With the aggressive microtransactions in recent mobile titles like ‘Kingsroad,’ fans have been waiting for a game to do the IP justice.
Nonetheless, a ‘Fortnite‘ collaboration could be the first time these characters get justice in a modern gaming world. Even if seeing Jon Snow hit a Griddy after a victory royale is a bit jarring, it provides a level of polish and visibility that past ‘GoT‘ games have lacked.
Is It Too Late for ‘Game of Thrones’?

‘Game of Thrones‘ ended way back in 2019. One of the major discussions among the community is the timing of this collaboration. Many argue that the cultural peak of ‘Game of Thrones ‘passed years ago after the final season made the series fall from the peak, making this crossover feel like it’s arriving late to the party.

However, the franchise has started 2026 strongly with the new spin-offs ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.’ It has single-handedly made people once again conversing about the series, given that it is set just 90 years prior to the events of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Epic Games can also choose to mix characters from all the spin-offs to make things interesting. Till Epic Games confirms anything, players can do nothing but speculate.
