‘Fortnite’ just kicked off the Gold Wild Week for the final week of Chapter 7 Season 1, and it is a big one. Gold vending machines around the map can now sell mythic weapons for 3,000 gold each. The available mythics include the Flex SMG, the Twin Hammer and Iron Pump Shotguns, the Deadeye AR, and the Enforcer AR. Chug Jugs are also being sold through the gold vending machines for 1,000 gold.
To go along with this, Epic also increased how much gold players earn from basically every source on the map. Cash registers now give 750 gold, and safes give 1,500. Gold from chests and eliminations has also gone up. Because of this, players should have enough gold to buy at least one mythic weapon just from looting their drop spot. In some cases, players can afford two if they land at a location with a lot of cash registers or manage to find a safe early.
The Deadeye AR Is Back But It Can Only Be Obtained From Gold Vending Machines

The Deadeye AR was vaulted in the last update, but it has returned through the gold vending machines. This is the only way to get the weapon right now. It is not in the regular loot pool, and Hush still drops the Mythic Enforcer AR instead of the Deadeye when eliminated. That could change later in the week, but as of now, the vending machines are the only source for it.
However, there is a catch. When Epic vaulted the Deadeye last week, they also made red dot weapons projectile past 100 meters. That means bullet drop and travel time kick in once a target is far enough away.

In close-to-mid-range fights, it does not make a huge difference, but at long range, players will need to lead their shots, especially against targets who are wing-suiting or using shockwaves to get away. The Deadeye is still strong inside 100 meters, where it stays hitscan, but it is not the same long-range laser it used to be.
Mythic Shotgun Makes Early Game Fights A Lot More Dangerous

The biggest change this Wild Week brings to actual gameplay is that mythic shotguns are no longer limited to one per lobby. Before this, only one player could have a mythic shotgun at a time. Now, anyone with 3,000 gold can buy one off a vending machine.
That makes shotgun fights a lot harder if you do not have one yourself because the odds of running into someone carrying a mythic pump are much higher than they used to be. Weapons from last week’s Wild Week are still in the loot pool as well. The SCAR, Suppressed SMG, OG Pump, and Hunting Rifle are all still obtainable, but none of them have mythic versions.

Furthermore, Chapter 7 Season 2 is scheduled to start next Thursday, so this Gold Wild Week is the last set of changes before the new season drops. As of now, this is a good week to play if you want to run mythic loadouts without having to fight a boss for them.
