‘Fortnite‘ Chapter 7 is firing on all cylinders with multiple collabs, such as ‘Solo Levelling,’ and map changes. Between these, Epic Games also vaulted and unvaulted multiple items, and among these is Lock-On AR. It is a decent weapon, but combined with the latest mobility updates, it has become a broken weapon in this season.
Epic Games vaulted its counter, the Tiger Teleportation Mask, making this weapon flourish and dominate the meta. Now, players are finding that combining low-gravity movement with tracking tech is the ultimate way to ruin someone’s day.
Lock-On AR Combo Is Ruining Fortnite Chapter 7 Lobbies

The biggest reason behind Lock-On AR taking over the Chapter 7 is the vaulting of The Tiger Teleportation Mask. As teleporting breaks line-of-sight instantly, it forces players using Lock-On AR to manually re-target the enemy.
With the Tiger Teleportation Mask vaulted, players are left with the Wingsuit and Shockwaves. These can be, to an extent, used to counter Lock-On AR. However, the issue is that both of these items let players move in a linear path, which is predictable. The weapon can still track a flying target in a straight line effortlessly. By vaulting the mask, Epic has given the Lock-On AR a free card to dominate the open field.

Furthermore, the real problem comes in with the Flowberry Fizz. When players use the Fizz with Shockwaves, they get a massive, floaty jump that keeps them in the air for an extended period. Normally, shooting someone while being in the air is difficult, as your own movement interferes with your aim.
The Lock-On AR removes this issue. You can focus 100% of your energy on being as fluid with your movement as you can in the air while the weapon aim assists you.
Additionally, when someone uses the Fizz-Shock combo far away, other players don’t get the audio cue. Most players usually look at the horizon. By the time they realize the Lock-On indicator is coming from above, they already take 60-80 damage. Unlike the Flowberry Mist, which only has three uses, the Flowberry Fizz allows for up to 20 activations. Players can use “Fizz-Shock” every single duel easily in a match.
Best Loadout For ‘Fortnite’ Chapter 7

As explained above, the loadout with the current loot is no brainer. Players just need a Lock-On AR, Flowberry Fizz, and Shockwaves. For the secondary weapon, players can surely go with Twin Hammer Shotgun.
The Lock-On AR is less useful in close-range combat. Also, it has slighly longer reload time. In addition, the Twin Hammer can just delete enemies in a blink in one or two shots.

While this combo is annoying in Solos, it is much worse in Trios and Squads mode. Imagine a full squad locking onto a single target simultaneously. There is no way the opponent can escape or hide from this anarchy. If players continue to exploit this combo, Epic Games might bring back the Teleportation Mask or balance things the other way to break this meta.
