‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘ has a huge playerbase, and Treyarch is trying its best to keep pumping out new content for the players to enjoy. With Season 2 of ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘ and ‘Warzone‘ going live recently, new content is here in the game, which also includes brand-new weapons.
One such weapon added to the game, which players were really eager for, is the EGRT-17 Assault Rifle. This weapon is one of the many new contents that were added to ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘ and ‘Warzone‘ in Season 2. Let’s explore how to unlock this weapon.
How To Get The EGRT-17 Assault Rifle In ‘COD: Black Ops 7 Season 2‘?

This new weapon, the EGRT-17 assault rifle, arrived right at the start of Season 2 as a Battle Pass weapon. This makes EGRT-17 a completely free gun that every player can get their hands on, depending on how hard they can grind the tiers.
This new assault rifle is available for the grab on page 6 of the new Battle Pass. However, it’s an HVT (High-Value Target) Reward, so that means players will need to unlock all the tiers on Page 6 to get this weapon. Players can do this in three ways:
- Using Battle Pass Tokens to unlock tiers.
- Playing matches in any game mode which gives battle pass experience.
- Purchasing the tiers using COD Points. (This method will cost you in-game currency bought with really money, so spend wisely)
After unlocking the weapon, players can use it freely in both ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 7‘ and ‘Warzone‘. This is a great assault rifle that packs a powerful punch.
EGRT-17 Assault Rifle BlackCell Variant

If players are not satisfied with the vanilla version of this weapon, they can get the Blueprint for EGRT-17 Assault Rifle, which can be found on Page 14 of the Battle Pass. Although offering way less freedom of customization compared to base weapons, the blueprint comes with cosmetics. Moreover, there’s a BlackCell variant of the assault rifle also available.
It’s an HVT reward too, so players would need to unlock all the tiers on the page. To get the Blackcell variant, players would need to have purchased the BlackCell version of the Battle Pass for season 2. BlackCell variants have their own animations, kill effects, and other cosmetic aesthetics added to the weapon.

Many players go for the BlackCell variant instead of the vanilla version, since it’s more appealing, and then they can kill enemies in style.
