The Fried Motherboard is one of the unique, rare items necessary to upgrade your Utility Station to Level 2 & 3 in ‘ARC Raiders.‘ Players need 3 Fried Motherboards for the upgrade. They may appear randomly throughout the game, but by researching and locating specific locations, you will find many Fried Motherboards faster and easier than just searching everywhere.
In addition to upgrading, you can also utilize Fried Motherboards to break down and recycle into crafting components, wires, etc., which makes them very useful for resource management as well.
Locating Fried Motherboards in ‘ARC Raiders’

Technological zones are where you will find Fried Motherboards. These are found throughout the maps and are indicated with a wrench symbol. Fried Motherboards are available in many locations; however, certain locations frequently yield larger amounts of Fried Motherboards than others:
- Dam Battlegrounds – Research & Administration building (all floors, containers, and server racks)
- Buried City – Space Travel building (floors 4–6, server banks, and offices)
- Spaceport – Arrival Building, Departure Building, Launch Towers, Control Tower A6, North & South Trench Towers
- The Blue Gate – Ancient Fort, Pilgrim’s Peak Reinforced Reception
- Stella Montis – Sandbox, Lobby Metro, Lobby, Communications, Medical Research, Assembly, Assembly Workshops
When it comes to collecting large quantities of Fried Motherboards at a time, these locations are the most effective. For example, the Spaceport map has the largest number of technological buildings on the map. Therefore, many items can be collected in one trip through the Spaceport.
How to Farm Fried Motherboards Fast in ‘ARC Raiders’

In order to quickly farm Fried Motherboards, you need to efficiently target high-density technology locations and clear them in an organized way.
- Targeting High-Yield Buildings: The best place to start is by targeting the Dam Battlegrounds Research & Administration Building where you will find 6 Breachable Server Cabinets.
- Looting: Always search every container (Desk, Locker, Server Rack) for a possible drop.
- Preparing Your Loadout: It is essential to bring weapons and tools to deal with the ARCs and any other raiders that could get in your way.
- Spawn Advantage: When you spawn near a Tech Building, you should immediately clear that building of any enemies. If you spawn far away from the tech building, you should surrender to maximize your chances of spawning near the building.
- Repeat Runs: Because these items respawn at predictable locations, it is best to farm in an organized manner as opposed to aimlessly roaming around the map.
