In ‘ARC Raiders,’ players will encounter various types of ARC machines, but none seem to be as challenging and gratifying as the Fireballs. These rolling flamethrowers are capable of lighting a flame in no time, but they also drop one of the precious early-game items: Fireball Burners.
Whether players are attempting Apollo’s “What Goes Around” quest or trying to make upgrades, here’s everything players need to know about Fireball Burners in ‘ARC Raiders‘ and where to find these hot foes.
Where To Find Fireballs In ‘ARC Raiders’?

Fireballs are small, round ARCs that pace around interior areas on most maps. Players will generally find them inside buildings, research stations, and underground complexes, rolling around narrow hallways, waiting for players to make their first mistake.
They can be found in multiple locations, but the best to farm them would be on:
- Dam Battlegrounds: Control Tower, Research & Administration, Water Treatment, Testing Annex, and Hydroponic Dome Complex.
- Buried City: Galleria, Hospital, and the Metro Station extraction spots are all filled with Fireballs inside residential and commercial blocks.
- Spaceport: Flight Control and Control Tower B6 also have regular spawns, yet this map can be more difficult.
Keep in mind – if there is a building that is designated as a high-loot zone (marked as a yellow or red box on your map), chances are, Fireballs will be inside the building. Players can normally hear them rolling long before they see them, giving them a couple of seconds to prepare their weapon.
How To Get Fireball Burners In ‘ARC Raiders’?

In order to get Fireball Burners, players will have to kill Fireballs, who they may then loot after they die. After killing a Fireball, get close to the wreck and loot it to find a Burner.
In addition to their specified use, Fireball Burners are useful throwables that can be used to ignite enemies and/or the environment. They also appear in upgrade recipes, specifically for refining items at higher tiers. Picture a cross between a crafting material and an improvised incendiary grenade; these tools can be used in combat as well as progression.

While Burners are not considered rare drops, they can have a somewhat low drop chance depending on the map and number of enemies. Players’ chance optimally increases when farming in the Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City.
Completing The “What Goes Around” Quest In ‘ARC Raiders’

Apollo’s “What Goes Around” quest tasks players with killing an ARC enemy using a Fireball Burner, and it’s one of the more confusing early-game objectives.
Here’s how to do it step-by-step:
- Equip a Fireball Burner in one of your quick-use inventory slots.
- Enter an area with small ARC enemies, such as Ticks, Pops, or any other Fireballs.
- Players have to weaken the enemy first with their regular weapon – the Burner must deal the killing blow for it to count towards the quest.
- Throw the Fireball Burner like it is a grenade to light and kill the ARC.
- Once the targeted ARC burns out, the quest will be complete.
Completing What Goes Around rewards players with:
- 3 Grenades of Blaze
- 2 Noisemakers
- 1 unique backpack attachment cosmetic

Players may have to try a few times if their first throw does not get the final hit, so having a few Burners is helpful. Mastering Fireball Burners can be very helpful in the long term. So make sure to get your hands on it and use them precisely in ‘ARC Raiders.’
