ARC Raiders: How To Get Bombardier Cells?

Bombardier Cells is one of the most important resources in ‘ARC Raiders.’ Bombardier Cells are required to upgrade the Refiner to Level 3; without this upgrade, players will experience a dramatic decrease in crafting and progression during the late game.

Finding Bombardiers can be difficult; they’re one of the most powerful, dangerous enemies you’ll encounter in ‘ARC Raiders.‘ If you’re not ready for a Bombardier’s attack, it can easily wipe out your entire run in a blink.

Bombardier Cells are mainly used for upgrading the Refiner to Level Three. When the Refiner has been upgraded to level 3, all excess Bombardier Cells can be redeemed for 5000 Credits each or recycled to produce Advanced Mechanical Components or ARC Alloy. Because of this, Bombardier Cells will continue to have value after your first upgrade.

Typically Bombardiers drop between 3-4 Bombardier Cells with the potential of receiving an additional 1-2 Bombardier Cells if you retrieve loot from the same piece of debris as the Bombardier.

Compared to most enemies, Bombardiers are relatively rare spawns in ‘ARC Raiders‘ but can be found consistently in certain areas.

The ideal locations for finding Bombardiers are Buried City, specifically Town Hall, Plaza Rosa, Marano Park, and Parking Garage. These locations typically have ample cover, rooftops for elevation, and nearby extraction sites.

Another solid location for farming Bombardier Cells is Blue Gate, as you will often see them patrol Trapper’s Glade and the vicinity of Raider’s Refuge. The fights can be slightly more manageable at the Blue Gate since there are usually fewer enemy-supporting Bombardiers.

While you can also find Bombardiers on the Spaceport map and on the Dam Battlegrounds Map, the spawn rates of Bombardiers on these maps are lower than Buried City and The Blue Gate maps.

Bombardiers are heavily armored, have a long-range cannon, and use a spotter drone system to deliver accurate missile strikes. The Spotters pose the greatest threat at the start of the engagement because they will locate you for missile strikes.

You must destroy the Spotters first because they do not deal direct damage, but they allow the Bombardier to lock on to you and fire at you with extreme precision.

Engage the Bombardier from a protected building that has a good roof and a few exits. You should avoid engaging from locations that have openings in the roof, ceilings that are broken, and large windows, because missiles can fly through small openings.

Use explosives during the initial stages of combat. Wolfpack Grenades will cause serious ARC damage to the Bombardier. If you do not have Wolfpack Grenades, Trigger Nades, and Snap Nades are good alternatives, and you should use them when the Bombardier is stationary and/or when you can hit them with a large blast radius.

The Hullcracker is the best weapon against Bombardiers because of its incredible ability to penetrate the Bombardier armour. The Ferro and Anvil weapons are sufficiently powerful that if you concentrate on weak spots, they should give satisfactory results against Bombardiers.

Aim for the yellow kneecaps and the rear cylinders; they will not only stun the Bombardier, but will also expose the most vulnerable areas of its armour.

Once the Bombardier is down, collect all the loot. The Bombardier Cells may drop from the main body, leg sections, and large debris pieces. Many people who loot just the torso of the Bombardier will miss some or all of their Cells.

Be sure to throw a smoke grenade after the kill for cover while collecting your loot and to avoid other players or nearby ARCs. And, if you can, equip Augments with 4 or more Safe Pockets so you do not lose the Cells if you die before extraction.
