While many players may think of light bulbs as junk or worthless trash, they play a vital role in the Expedition Project in ‘ARC Raiders.’ Unfortunately, unlike most items in the Electrical Loot category, Light Bulb drops are not very predictable; therefore, players often spend hours sprinting through the buildings searching for a single light bulb until they luck out.
The good news is that players can easily locate Light Bulbs in two specific locations. These two locations are safer than the surrounding areas, which makes farming light bulbs at the two car sites an excellent way to accumulate them in bulk quickly and efficiently. This guide will detail the two main areas where players will find light bulbs in ‘ARC Raiders.’
Best Light Bulb Locations In ‘ARC Raiders’
1. Electrical Substation (Dam Battlegrounds)
If you want a dependable location to find light bulbs, head to the Electrical Substation located at the very bottom of Dam Battlegrounds. The substation offers a small, peaceful environment where you can conveniently gather your supplies at the beginning of your run. When you get to the southern end of the fenced-in grid, you should see a rusted-out vehicle parked beside a broken wire fence.
You will have to pry open the hood of the vehicle in order to get inside. When you do that, you will most likely discover 1-2 Light Bulbs in there (at least). You can find light bulbs consistently in this vehicle throughout the course of your gameplay, making it a perfect first stop for anyone who is in search of Light Bulbs!
2. Power Generation Complex (Dam Battlegrounds)
The Power Generation Complex is located at the very opposite side of the map from the other power generation areas, which are commonly referred to as Dam Battlegrounds, and contains the two largest loot areas available. The first is your vehicle parked next to the bus station just to the southeast of the North Complex Elevator extraction.

By accessing the engine compartment of the vehicle, you will often find additional bulbs for your inventory. In addition to this, the area that is most fruitful is above ground within the actual working power plant on the eastern side, both inside the buildings and above ground. The electrical containers within this specific area of the facility tend to yield higher rates of loot compared to other locations.
3. Pilgrim’s Peak (The Blue Gate)
If you have experienced high levels of PvP activity within the Dam Battlegrounds and are looking for a relatively safe location to loot, then Pilgrim’s Peak should be your next destination. The majority of buildings found at this site are smaller in size, and many of them contain hidden Electrical containers.
The underground crawlspace provides access to the control room, which has a high drop rate for Light Bulbs, Wire, Sensors, and Electrical Components. Additionally, because of its geographical distance from the majority of PvP interactions, it offers a lower risk of being looted.

Looting vehicles throughout all areas of the game can help players find a significant number of Light Bulbs. If players loot a vehicle that contains both an intact hood and a point of entry at the back of the vehicle, it may contain Light Bulbs. Below are some of the best areas to loot vehicles:
- Buried City’s highway and parking garage
- Checkpoint on the Blue Gate map
- The ruined road through the middle of Dam Battlegrounds
