After completing the survey assignments for Shani and Celeste, Apollo grants access to Sparks Fly. You have been issued Trigger Nades and Snap Blast grenades to perform field testing against Hornets, with an emphasis on utilizing only explosive damage. Should a Hornet collide with a wall or the ground as opposed to being killed by your explosion, there will be no progress made toward mission completion.

Hornets are small metallic drones shaped like ARC that have two thrusting engine systems. They employ short-range tasers capable of disabling shields while also inflicting significant physical damage; therefore, a solid preparatory plan is essential before deployment.

Before deploying, it is advised that you carry Shield Recharges as well as Bandages. Additionally, you should select a site from which to deploy that enables you to access solid cover. This should include such items as doorframes, wall outlets, or ledges. Your safest choice of a map in which to deploy from is Dam Battlegrounds, which provides predictable movement patterns for the enemy and easy extraction routes. While Blue Gate allows for Hornets to spawn quicker than any other map, the risk to you is significantly increased.

When using Trigger Nades, lead a Hornet into an entrance or narrow area. Shoot it with a silenced rifle. When it gets close, hit it in the back with a Trigger Nade. Get to safety and detonate the Trigger Nade. Do not let any of the attacker’s damage from it.

To use the Snap Blast Grenades, use the same strategy as above, but stay outside of the area before you drop the Snap Blast Grenade. As soon as you have attached the Snap Blast Grenade, shoot a weapon if necessary, and then just let the timer finish the job.

Getting off two Snap Blast Grenades almost at the same time will give you a much better chance of destroying the Hornet. When you destroy a Hornet, loot its remains and return to your inventory to ensure that you do not lose any progress.
