The first wave of Husks in ‘ARC Raiders‘ are the remains of ARC units from the initial invasion. They date back long before the Raiders began their fight on the surface. The First Wave Husks are not considered part of your current match; they have been here for years, rusting and sinking into the ground. They are heavily worn, look like industrial products, and are usually half-buried in dirt, sand, or remnants of previous conflict.

There are three variations of First Wave Husks to find. Wasp Husks and Rocketeer Husks look like the ARC units that you already fight in raids, but they’re just broken down, older versions. Baron Husks are larger, more unique looking, and represent ARC units that you haven’t yet fought in the active state.

You can search any of the First Wave Husks for ARC materials. With Baron Husks, you will need to climb to the top of their head to breach them. Once breached, there will be flames; you need to bail off and then wait for the flames to die down so that you can retrieve the loot.

Husks from the First Wave can be found on four of the ‘ARC Raiders’ maps. The only place that doesn’t spawn First Wave Husks is Stella Montis. The remaining maps are Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Buried City, and The Blue Gate.

Throughout the entire map, Husks will spawn; however, Husks will spawn in greater numbers in previous Battlegrounds. Once you find these areas, they will serve as graveyards for the ARC and typically contain multiple Husks in close proximity to one another.

The Old Battleground on the Dam Battlegrounds map is the most reliable location for First Wave Husks. It features multiple Baron Husks and also small Husks, which makes it an ideal area for performing Trials and gathering materials.

Spaceport is an additional good option to find First Wave Husks, with the area surrounding the Vehicle Maintenance Building and Water Tower being particularly high in spawned Husks. On the Blue Gate map, Barren Clearing, Adorned Wreckage, and Broken Earth can consistently be found with clusters of First Wave Husks.

The condition of the map can also greatly impact your efficiency in completing objectives. This is true, for example, of three factors: the condition of the map will affect how many Husks spawn; the condition of the map will also contribute to how quickly you complete objectives. There is an additional benefit when participating in Night Raids when performing objectives involving Husks; these provide great extra point gain/benefits while you participate in Night Raids.

Trials and Feats that require finding ARC remains often require First Wave Husks. Fortunately, you do not have to loot these husks to receive Trial progress. Simply searching the husk is sufficient to complete objectives while using a free loadout to minimize the impact of any losses in gear.

To make fast progress in the Trials, focus on Admiral and Rocket Boots because they give a larger reward for completing objectives. Some events, such as the Electromagnetic Storm, allow you to earn up to three Trial stars on one run through an expedition.

You should approach the Hazards carefully when opening, as some can cause status effects (shock/fire) that inflict a small amount of damage. Keeping enough stamina to dodge roll away when opening Admiral Husks is important.

Once you recognize the outline and layout of First Wave Husks, it becomes quite easy to locate them. Areas that have previously been involved with ARC combat are probably hiding a lot of nice remains; because of this, First Wave Husks have become one of ‘ARC Raiders‘ most consistent and safest raw materials.
