‘Battlefield RedSec‘ features a mix of tactical gameplay and Battle Royale havoc. While most players rush to weapon drops or supply points, some of the best loot in the game is behind Locked Safes, which can be found throughout the map.

Locked Safes in ‘Battlefield RedSec’ Explained

Locked Safes are unique loot containers located inside buildings, especially in the major “Points of Interest” of Fort Lyndon or other outside RedSec map zones. They are easily recognizable thanks to their metallic appearance, but opening them is not as easy as simply pushing a button.
Other Locked Safes can be found inside buildings in many places in Redline Storage, a hangar located just west of the Radar Site.

The safe is on the ground level of one of the smaller buildings in the top right of the area. There are additional safe locations, but as players continue to explore, those will be known, as most of the spawn are in dense zones or high loot rate areas.
However, not everyone can open these safes. Only certain classes have the proper gear to open them, meaning it has to be a coordinated effort between squads when wanting to loot before other players arrive.
Opening Locked Safes In ‘Battlefield RedSec’

In order to unlock a Locked Safe in ‘Battlefield RedSec,‘ players will need to take the role of the Engineer Class. The Engineer is armed with a Repair Tool, which is the only gadget capable of unlocking safes. After players find a safe, equip the Repair Tool, aim at the vault, and hold the interact button. With this, a progress bar will appear on your HUD showing how far you are into unlocking it.
The process will take a few seconds, so make sure the squad is watching back as the sound from the repair torch can attract nearby enemies, and safes are often located in contested areas.
Upon unlocking a safe, players can get a variety of rare weapons, armor plates, Call-In Gadgets, and sometimes, players can also find an Intel Case, giving them a quick boost of XP.
