Despite being one of the most popular streamers on the internet at the moment, Asmongold just can’t keep himself away from controversies. Twitch recently banned his channel for derogatory comments against a user during a live stream. Asmongold got into a heated debate on Twitch with a user during which the streamer was found guilty of demeaning third-world countries.
The streamer allegedly termed underdeveloped countries as ‘third world countries’, instead of stopping at just that, he went on to label those countries as ‘sh*t holes.’ This did not sit well with Twitch guidelines, leading to the streamer facing severe punishment from the company.
Why Was Asmongold’s Twitch Account Banned?

Asmongold found himself in yet another controversy regarding his political remarks after bringing up the term ‘third world’ while referencing certain underdeveloped countries during a livestream. The incident unfolded when Asmongold was streaming from his secondary Twitch account, Zackrawrr.
In a recent X post, the streamer opened up on why his account was banned. Asmongold claimed, “Banned for an entire week because I said I don’t give a fuck about the opinions of illiterate third worlders.”
The streamer allegedly claimed that he does not care about the opinions of any ‘third worlder’, which sparked a wide range of outrage among millions of users around the world. Asmongold’s secondary Twitch account, Zackrawrr, faced a 7-day ban immediately.

Asmongold’s primary Twitch account remained unharmed; however, the streamer mainly uses his second account for streaming. Now that this account has been banned, Asmongold has found himself in a very tricky situation.
Asmongold Reacts To His Twitch Channel Being Banned

After his channel was banned, instead of apologising, Asmongold called out Twitch for being hypocritical. According to Asmongold, if the situation had been reversed and if a Middle Eastern guy said the same about an American’s opinion, he would remain unharmed.
Asmongold claimed, “Would someone be banned for saying they don’t care about what an American’s opinion is on the Middle East? Of course not. Blatant double standard, I didn’t break ToS.”
This is not the first time Asmongold has gotten tangled up in a controversy because of his political remarks. He has previously faced hate for insulting Palestinians and claiming that they deserve to die.
