Adin Ross Says He Regrets “Building” Kai Cenat After Being Cut Off

Adin Ross and Kai Cenat used to run content together constantly during the SSG house era and through 2022 into 2023. Those streams were pulling huge numbers, and it looked like the two of them would keep building together. That is not how things played out.

Ross recently went after Kai directly, saying he regrets ever helping him get to where he is now. He also claimed Kai has completely cut him off since blowing up on Twitch and that his name was even banned from Kai’s chat during Mafiathon 3.

On stream, Ross went back to the early days and talked about what Kai’s situation looked like before they started working together. “Man when Kai first started streaming he was broke only making $10k a month, if it wasn’t for me he would never even seen a million dollars,” Ross said.

But the money is not really the point for him. What bothers Ross more is the silence. He has said on multiple streams now that he tried reaching out, and Kai just does not respond. “Ever since he took over and surpassed me, he never once called me… he never once reached out.”

Things got petty during Mafiathon 3 when fans discovered that typing “Adin Ross” in Kai’s Twitch chat would get you banned. Adin’s close friend and Kick streamer, Cheesur, typed it just to see what would happen and got permanently banned right away. Ross called Kai a “jealous ex” after that and did not gift a single sub during the entire subathon, and both fanbases noticed.

MrBeast got pulled into it too after mentioning on stream that one creator backed out of his TeamWater charity stream because they found out Adin would be there. Everyone assumed it was Kai. MrBeast said it was not him, but by that point, nobody really cared about the correction.

Kai’s Manager Scandal And The Kick Split Made It Worse

The platform split did not help. Ross signed with Kick while Kai stayed on Twitch, and the distance between their audiences grew from there. Then, in July 2025, Kai went on stream and told everyone that Adin’s manager, Taav Cooperman, called him the N-word over the phone at four in the morning after Kai turned down an invite to Adin’s birthday party.

Kai said he sat on it for a while because he did not want to mess with Adin’s mental state at the time, but eventually told him. Ross fired Cooperman once it all came out publicly.

Kai said he still has respect for Ross despite everything. “I ain’t never had a problem with Adin. Adin is my brother,” he said. But he also did not hold back when talking about Ross’ audience. “Let’s be real, Adin, your community don’t f**k with me. And that’s the truth, gang.”

On top of that, there was an accusation that Ross paid an X account to post negative content about Kai. Ross denied it and said his phone was hacked, and the screenshots going around were fake. Kai’s fanbase was not buying any of it. Both communities have been going at each other constantly, and there is no sign of it slowing down. The SSG reunion that fans used to talk about is not happening.
