Adin Ross has spoken publicly for the first time about how losing his sister Madeline Ross has affected him and told his community that he is not in a place to come back to streaming full time right now. During a recent stream, Ross said the loss has left him with no motivation to do anything and that he will not force a return until he feels like himself again.
Madeline Ross passed away on January 15, 2026, at the age of 36 in Broward County. The news was first reported by TMZ after the Broward County Medical Examiner confirmed it, and the way that information got out has only made things worse for Adin and his family. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and the Ross family has asked for privacy.
Adin Ross Said Losing His Older Sister Has Made It Hard To Do Even Basic Things

Ross was raw about it on stream and went into detail about how the past two months have been for him. He called Madeline his best friend and said he would do anything to talk to her one more time. When talking about what life has been like without her, he said, “I hope everybody in this chat never gets to experience what it’s like to lose somebody who’s an older sibling. You’re not going to want to leave your bed, you’re not going to want to leave your crib, you’re not going to want to do anything.”
The lack of motivation is not just about streaming either. “I don’t want to do anything. I don’t want to do shit. And that goes for anything in my life, not specifically just streaming,” Ross said. He asked his community to be patient and said, “When I’m ready to come back and be the best version of myself, I will, but I’m not ready yet. That shit happened two months ago, bro.”

Ross said that if his family had not pushed him to keep going, he would have dropped all of his brand deals and walked away from everything right after Madeline died. His family has been the main reason he has stayed somewhat active at all.
Ross Has Vowed To Take Legal Action Against TMZ Over The Leak Of His Sister’s Information

Ross is also dealing with the fallout from TMZ publishing details about Madeline’s death on top of everything else. Ross has said publicly that he plans to sue both TMZ and the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office over what happened.
According to Ross, someone in his own inner circle sold the information to TMZ, which has destroyed his trust in the people around him. He has been calling it a “rat hunt,” and part of why he is staying off stream right now is to go through his staff and figure out who did it.
The streaming community has backed Ross through all of this. Clips from the stream have pulled millions of views, and creators like Kai Cenat and the AMP group have shown support publicly. Even people who have had problems with Ross in the past have either stayed quiet or said something respectful, which tells you how real this situation is.
