The lack of motivation is not just about streaming either. “I don’t want to do anything. I don’t want to do shit. And that goes for anything in my life, not specifically just streaming,” Ross said. He asked his community to be patient and said, “When I’m ready to come back and be the best version of myself, I will, but I’m not ready yet. That shit happened two months ago, bro.”

Ross said that if his family had not pushed him to keep going, he would have dropped all of his brand deals and walked away from everything right after Madeline died. His family has been the main reason he has stayed somewhat active at all.

Ross is also dealing with the fallout from TMZ publishing details about Madeline’s death on top of everything else. Ross has said publicly that he plans to sue both TMZ and the Broward County Medical Examiner’s office over what happened.
According to Ross, someone in his own inner circle sold the information to TMZ, which has destroyed his trust in the people around him. He has been calling it a “rat hunt,” and part of why he is staying off stream right now is to go through his staff and figure out who did it.
