A new leak has claimed that ‘Fortnite‘ could be collaborating with the ‘Beyblade‘ franchise, and while no details about skins, emotes, or release timing have been shared, the idea alone has gotten fans excited. ‘Fortnite‘ has done crossovers with just about everyone at this point, but ‘Beyblade‘ would still be a surprising pick.
‘Fortnite‘ has partnered with Marvel, DC, ‘Dragon Ball,’ ‘Jujutsu Kaisen,’ and most recently, ‘Game of Thrones,‘ among others. Beyblade is not in the same category as any of those and that is probably what makes it interesting. It would be one of the more unexpected collabs the game has done if it turns out to be real.
Beyblade X Is The Series Tied To The Rumored Collab

According to SamLeakss, who posted about it on X, the collab would be with ‘Beyblade X‘ and not the franchise as a whole. That distinction matters because ‘Beyblade‘ has gone through several different eras at this point, from the original series to ‘Metal Fusion‘ to ‘Burst,‘ and now ‘Beyblade X,‘ which debuted in 2023. ‘Beyblade X‘ brought in the Xtreme Dash mechanic, which lets the tops ride along rails inside the stadium for faster battles, and the series has built up a solid following since it came out.

What SamLeakss did not say is what the collab would actually look like. There is no word on character skins, pickaxes, or gliders, or whether there would be a limited-time mode tied to it. No other leaker has backed this up either, so right now all anyone has to go on is that one post.
Fans Are Split On Beyblade X Being The Choice

The fact that the leak points to ‘Beyblade X‘ and not the original series has not sat well with everyone. A lot of fans on Reddit and Twitter have said they would have preferred the OG ‘Beyblade‘ with characters like Tyson, Kai, Ray, and Max.
Others think ‘Metal Fusion‘ would have been the better pick because Ryuga as a skin alone would have made the whole collab worth it, and that is hard to disagree with.
Beyond the skin debate, fans are also trying to figure out what Beyblades would even do inside ‘Fortnite‘ as a gameplay element. The idea that has gotten the most traction online is that they could function as throwable items that bounce off walls and come back to whoever launched them.
Some fans want a full limited-time mode where Beyblades are the only weapon you can use. But there is also a real chance that Epic just adds a few skins to the item shop and does not do anything beyond that.

Epic Games has not said anything about a Beyblade collaboration. SamLeakss has gotten leaks right before, but until Epic confirms it, there is no way to know if this is actually happening or not.
