‘Fortnite’ is back on the Google Play Store globally after years of being unavailable on Android. The game was pulled from both Google Play and the iOS App Store back in 2020 after Epic’s dispute with Apple and Google over in-app purchase fees, and while the iOS version came back in certain regions over time, the Android side took longer to sort out.
Now that it is officially back on the Google Play Store worldwide, Epic is marking the occasion by giving away a free outfit to anyone who plays on mobile. Players can get the Yeddy Skin for free, and it actually comes with more customization options than you would expect for something Epic is giving away. However, the catch is that this is a mobile-only offer, so players on PC or console cannot claim it through normal means.
How To Claim Yeddy Skin In ‘Fortnite’?

To claim the skin, you need to open ‘Fortnite’ on a mobile device and do two things:
- First, go to your profile in the main lobby and hit the Invite a Friend button from the Add Friends tab. You do not actually have to invite anyone. Just clicking the button is enough to register it.
- Second, you need to earn one account level, which you can do by jumping into a match and picking up some XP. The order does not matter, and once both are done, the Yeddy Skin unlocks automatically.

This works on both Android and iOS though ‘Fortnite’ is still unavailable in some regions on the iOS App Store so not everyone will be able to grab it from that side. On Android it should be straightforward since the game is now on the Google Play Store everywhere.
The Yeddy Skin Has Ten Color Options And Reactive Features

What makes the Yeddy Skin stand out from other free cosmetics Epic has given away is how much you can change about it. Players can toggle the glasses on or off, pick from ten different colored styles, turn the skin’s reactivity on or off, and choose from seven different colors for the battery icon on the chest. That is a lot for a freebie, and most paid skins in the item shop do not come with that many options either.

The skin is available to claim for free until June 3, 2026, so there is no rush to grab it right away. After that date, it could end up in the Item Shop at some point, but there is no confirmation from Epic on that yet. If you have access to any mobile device that can run ‘Fortnite,’ the whole thing takes less time than a single match.
