These incentives encourage strategic gameplay and experimenting, and trying new ways to ally, betray, and survive.

How to Start this Mode

To play the Delulu mode, follow the steps below:

  1. Launch Fortnite and ensure your game is updated.
  2. In the main menu, navigate to the Discover or Play tab. Look for the “Delulu” or “Delulu LTM” playlist option.
  3. Before you hit Queue, go into your Settings > Audio/Voice Chat, set your Voice Chat to “Everybody” and make sure your microphone is enabled. This is a requirement of this mode, as proximity chat is opted in.
  4. After hitting the Queue, select either solo or with friends.
  5. Once the match starts, you can land anywhere on the island and begin to loot. Use voice chat to make temporary alliances, but do remember, there is only one winner.

Spawning and Early Game

Players are dropped onto the Chapter 6 Season 4 map completely at random, without any say in where they land. Immediately begin to loot for weapons, consumables, and heals. O.X.R. Chests and Supply Drops require two or three players to open, so finding teammates early can unlock high-tier loot for your team. It is also useful to keep a traversal item or vehicle available, like Shockwave Grenades and Launch Pads, to help you rotate safely around the island.

Teaming Up

To create allies, set the voice chat to “Everybody” and use the emote system. Wave the pickaxe and do the Team Up emote to fish for nearby players to join your squad. Squad sizes can get up to four, but keep in mind, only one player can claim the ultimate Victory Royale. Throwing your teammates under the bus is how the game is played, and if you time your departure from your squad right, you may just have a chance at Victory Royale!

Using Proximity Chat to your Advantage

Delulu’s proximity chat allows players to communicate to both their teammate and potential adversaries in the match. Hearing other players conversation can show you just who could be trustworthy and give you clues about when you should attack. Be careful of players who will ruin the game, and don’t over-commit to large squads early in the match!

Ways to Win Fortnite Delulu

Winning Fortnite Delulu needs some strategies.

Heal Off Strategies

Tim Sweeney, the CEO of Epic Games, showed that players can win Delulu without ever firing a shot. Making healing and consumables a priority can lead to a “heal-off” scenario, where the last player remaining wins without doing any damage. To best your opponents in a heal-off situation, come prepared with shields, healing items, and med kits in prolonged final circles.

Betraying Your Squad

While players should team with their mates for chest opening and to survive the mid-game, they will need to go it alone for the chance to win in the endgame. When down to the final 10 players, timing a betrayal of friends is well worth the effort when you pull off a first-place game. Monitor the squad and monitor the storm circle to plan the right time frame to duck away incognito.

Endgame Top Ten

When the storm circle closes, all players must gauge the risk of either cooperating or making it out alive; some folks like to be quiet with their squads, and some folks betray their squad for the chance to take it the distance. Using traversal items, rotate, and heal, these tasks can help you end up as the last player standing.
