Epic Games Sues Former Contractor For Leaking Fortnite Collaborations

Fortnite‘ leaks have been a regular thing for years now, but it is not often that one ends up in court. A lawsuit filed at a federal court in North Carolina on March 5 names Hayden Cohen as the person behind the X account AdiraFNInfo, which had been posting unreleased Fortnite collab details since late 2025. The account vanished from the platform recently, but Epic Games had already tracked him down.

Cohen had been brought on as a producer through an outside staffing firm and was given access to internal project details as part of that role. He went through security training and put his name on an NDA back in September 2025. Epic claims he began posting non-public information just weeks later. Between X and Discord, the leaks piled up fast enough for Epic to take legal action.

Epic Says The Leaks Hurt Partner Relationships And Messed Up Announcement Schedules

The filing has pointed to a number of specific instances. AdiraFN revealed the ‘South Park‘ crossover on January 6, two days before Epic planned to announce it. The post even listed individual items that were supposed to be part of the drop. Epic says the ‘Solo Leveling‘ collab got the same treatment. On top of the X posts, the complaint lists that Cohen was also passing along details through Discord servers.

According to Epic, the bigger issue is that these leaks created problems with the companies whose characters and brands are collaborating with ‘Fortnite.‘ The timing of official reveals is a big part of how these collaborations get marketed, and having that spoiled early apparently did not sit well with partners. Epic also says they already warned Cohen to stop and to hand back any devices tied to his contractor access. According to the lawsuit, he has not done either of those things.

Epic Has Pretty Much Confirmed Several Unannounced Collabs By Suing The Leaker

Here’s what makes this lawsuit more than just a legal filing. By going after Cohen, Epic is indirectly confirming the leaks that haven’t been announced yet. AdiraFN had posted about Fortnite collaborations with ‘Sonic the Hedgehog,‘ ‘Minecraft,‘ ‘Game of Thrones,‘ ‘Kingdom Hearts,‘ ‘Ben 10,‘ ‘Masters of the Universe,‘ and ‘PEAK.

Epic hasn’t officially said a word about any of these, but the fact that they’re suing over the information makes it hard to call them fake. The charges include trade secret violations at both the federal and state levels, a contract breach tied to the NDA he signed, and unfair competition.

That said, most Fortnite leakers don’t get their info this way. People like ShiinaBR and HYPEX work off data-mined game files, which is something Epic can’t really pursue legally. A few of them even earn money through Epic’s own Creator Code program. Cohen is a different situation entirely. He had insider access, signed paperwork agreeing to keep things confidential, and went ahead and posted it all anyway.
