Resident Evil Requiem: How To Open The Bar & Lounge Safe?

The Bar & Lounge Safe is one of the first safes players encounter in ‘Resident Evil Requiem.’ It is located inside the Rhodes Hill Care Center on the first floor of the West Wing. The safe holds three Antique Coins, making it a valuable early pickup for upgrading Grace at the Parlor.

Like all safes in ‘Resident Evil: Requiem,’ the combination is found by reading a specific file hidden elsewhere in the facility. However, players can input the code and open the safe without ever finding the associated document. Here is how to reach it and crack it open.

The safe sits on the bar counter in the Bar & Lounge room on the first floor of the West Wing. Players will pass through this room naturally during story progression, so it cannot be missed. Getting to the West Wing requires the ID Wristband Level 1 security bracelet.

Players earn this wristband by progressing through the main quest through the first Puzzle Box. Once obtained, head to the West Wing past the kitchen and through the Level 1 security lock. Go upstairs from the Custodian’s Office, save room, and the Bar & Lounge is straight ahead.

The room is guarded by a singing zombie in a white dress and two regular zombies. Clear them out before approaching the counter. Grace’s S&S M232 pistol also sits on the bar counter nearby, so grab that while you are there.

What Is The Bar & Lounge Safe Code?

The combination of standard difficulties is Left 10, Right 80, and Left 30. Turn the dial clockwise to 10, then counterclockwise to 80, then clockwise again to 30. Press the Check button once all three numbers are locked in. The safe will pop open with three Antique Coins inside.

On Insanity difficulty, the code changes to Right 20, Left 50, Right 30. The reward remains the same: three Antique Coins.

The file containing this combination is File #23, found later in the Office room on the first desk after leaving the garage and heading upstairs. Players do not need to find this file before opening the safe. The code works regardless.

Why Are The Antique Coins Important?

Antique Coins are a collectible currency in ‘Resident Evil Requiem,’ used at the Parlor to purchase permanent upgrades for Grace. There are a limited number of coins scattered throughout the game inside safes, hidden on shelves, and dropped by specific enemies.

The Bar & Lounge Safe and the Examination Room Safe together hold six coins. Missing either safe means losing access to upgrades that can make later encounters more manageable. Resources are tight in ‘Resident Evil Requiem,’ especially on greater difficulties, so every coin matters.

Opening all five safes in the game also unlocks the No Safe is Safe trophy and achievement. The remaining safes are found in the Examination Room, the Basement, the Sterilization Chamber, and the Monitor Control Room. The last two are located in the ARK facility during the final section.
