The skill allows players to cancel any action into a Summoning Seal. Summoning Seals are the special Talismans tied to Soul Cores equipped in the Yang position of your Onmyo loadout. Activating a seal mid-combo interrupts the current animation and summons a Yokai ally.

This is similar to canceling with Guardian Spirit Skills, but Summoning Seals offer a key advantage. Players can walk freely in any direction during the summoning animation. That means you can reposition while the summon covers your recovery.

High-commitment Martial Arts with long recovery frames become significantly safer. Moves like the Odachi’s Thunderbolt or the Cestus’ Limitless can be canceled into a summon before enemies punish the end lag.

Animation canceling is the primary use. Fire off a heavy Martial Art, then cancel the recovery into a Summoning Seal before the enemy can counter. This keeps your offense flowing without the usual risk of overcommitting. Another use for it is the Stagger Pressure.

If you use that, any enemy that runs out of Ki or is blocked will be locked into place by the summoned Yokai. This gets you enough time to recover your Ki and just restart your combo sequence.

The Scampuss and Skeleton Warrior Soul Cores pair especially well with this skill. Their seals deal multiple quick hits, keeping enemies staggered while you reset. For defensive repositioning, cancel into a summon when you misread enemy timing. Walk away during the animation, then guard, deflect, or dodge as needed.

The More The Merrier is a must-have for players who want to push ‘Nioh 3‘ combat to its highest level. It rewards aggressive play while providing a reliable safety net when combos go wrong.
