How to Start the Black Night Kubo Bounty
Players can start their search at the Red Crane Inn in the Teshio Ridge area. There is a contract on the bounty board stating that there is a “mysterious killer dressed in black” who has been lurking around the forests of Teshio Ridge.
Accept the bounty to reveal his last known location: the Black Night Duel Ring in the Sentinel Forest. Before getting started, players have to be prepared, as Kubo will not appear if they ain’t. To summon Kubo, all that players need to do is to change their armor color.
Black Night Kubo Location In ‘Ghost Of Yotei’
Open the map and travel south in the Sentinel Forest. Between the “Sentinel” and “Forest” text labels, players will find a rounded dueling ring surrounded by bamboo walls. This is sometimes called the Black Night Duel Ring. It is easy to identify due to the snowy clearing, the dead body, and a wreath of straw lanterns around the dueling arena.

Summoning Black Night Kubo
In order to summon Kubo, players need to wear black-dyed armor. The easiest way to equip black dye is to equip the Nine Tail Armor with its default Eyes in Smoke dye. Players unlock this armor in The Kitsune main tale while they are in Teshio Ridge.
Another option is to go to the Black Dye Merchant west of the Teshio River and have the current armor dyed black. Upon putting on the correct armor, return to the dueling ring and clap the wooden blocks beside the corpse.
