On November 18, 2025, Xbox launched the perk, along with an increase in the Ultimate price, and the perk has already changed how many players manage their membership every month.
We will give you a clear, human explanation of the new perk, what you will receive, the process to redeem, and if it’s worth it.
What You Get With Fortnite Crew On Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
If you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you receive the full Fortnite Crew membership at no extra cost. There are no cuts, no changes, no trimming or alterations. It is the same membership you get for $12 a month.
Here’s what’s included:
- All Battle Passes: You have access to the current Battle Pass, the OG Pass, the LEGO Pass, and the Music Pass. As long as your Ultimate subscription is valid, all active passes remain unlocked.
- Monthly Crew Pack: You receive a pack of exclusive cosmetics once a month. Each pack always comes with a new outfit and at least 1 accessory that goes with the outfit. The November 2025 pack contains the Maxx Speed Outfit, in Fortnite style and LEGO style, the Control Center Back Bling, and the Racer’s Reavers Pickaxe.
- 1,000 V-Bucks every month: The stipend is deposited into your account automatically every month that you are subscribed.
- Rocket Pass Premium in Rocket League: This is a bonus benefit specific to Fortnite Crew members. It grants you access to the premium track of the current Rocket League Rocket Pass, as well as the premium tracks of future seasons.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Price And Value
Game Pass Ultimate is now $30 a month, which is a substantial jump from $20 previously. Just Fortnite Crew alone costs $12.
If you play Fortnite regularly, Rocket League, and a handful of titles from the Game Pass library, the value is definitely there. If you are already paying for both Game Pass Ultimate and Fortnite Crew, you are reaping the benefits of the new subscription without the consequence of one of the two subscriptions duplicating one another.

That said, there is no merit to signing up for Game Pass Ultimate simply for Fortnite Crew. Upgrade if you intend to play other titles from the game pass library elsewhere you would pay $30 for Black Ops 7, The Crew Motorfest, or any of the many first party Xbox titles included on day-one availability.
How To Claim Fortnite Crew With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?
The process is straightforward, but only works if your Epic Games account is successfully linked to your Xbox account. Here’s how you do it:
- Go to the Epic Games website and log in.
- At the top right, click Account.
- Then click Linked Accounts.
- Then click the link button under Xbox Network.
- Log in with your Xbox account.
- Accept the link request.
If both accounts are already linked, the Fortnite Crew will automatically be activated. Once activated, just load Fortnite on any Xbox platform or PC to verify your membership. If the Crew benefits didn’t show up immediately, you might want to go back into the game after closing it and wait some time for the system to sync. Generally, this will sync in about 30 minutes.
For this, you don’t need an Xbox console. You must simply log in once a month on or via any Xbox-supported platform: Xbox console, PC, Xbox app, cloud gaming, or a handheld app, like the ROG Ally running Xbox services, then you can continue playing Fortnite on other platforms (like PlayStation or Switch, or mobile).
What If You Already Have a Fortnite Crew Subscription?
If you have a Crew membership and then also buy the Game Pass Ultimate, your separate Crew membership will automatically cancel. Microsoft typically provides a prorated refund; however, it is not confirmed in their official FAQ. That said, that is the expectation.
Should You Upgrade to Ultimate Just for Fortnite Crew?
If you are a dedicated ‘Fortnite‘ player who plays it daily and is already buying the Battle Pass and some select cosmetic items, it’s a great value. However, the real lever of value is how much you utilize Game Pass itself.
